WELCOME TO THE CAPTAIN PETER ANKENY CHAPTER, NSDAR
The Peter Ankeny Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), was named for a Revolutionary War figure, Patriot, and an ancestor of our founding regent, Virginia Taylor Zink. Captain Peter Ankeny served in the Fifth Company of the Third Battalion, Bedford County, Pennsylvania, Militia.
Membership in the DAR provides many opportunities to cherish the freedoms we enjoy as Americans, to preserve family and local histories, to promote the celebration of our national holidays, to live patriotically, to support our national defense, and to form friendships with others who share our love of God, Home, and Country.
We are honored you are interested in the DAR, and in the Captain Peter Ankeny Chapter, NSDAR, in particular. We actively seek new members as well as opportunities to promote DAR objectives in our community. We encourage prospective members to visit our meetings to learn more about the DAR and the Captain Peter Ankeny Chapter, NSDAR. Chapter meetings are held at 10:00 a.m. at a midtown location on the second Wednesday of each month from September to June unless otherwise announced. Generally, two meetings per year are scheduled on a Saturday. Please visit our Join page for more information or contact us.
