Join Our Chapter
Our chapter members warmly welcome guests and prospective members to our meetings. If you believe you have a Patriot in your family tree, we can help you complete your research and submit your membership application. We encourage you to visit the DAR Genealogical Research System (GRS) on the NSDAR website to access the index of names of Revolutionary War Patriots - men and women. Their service, between 1775 and 1783, has been established by the NSDAR.
Membership in DAR offers a number of benefits, including:
- Promoting American history throughout the year by honoring historically significant people, places, dates, and events
- Participating in commemorative events such as Flag Day, Veterans Day, and Independence Day
- The satisfaction of active participation in meaningful service projects throughout the community
- Recognizing students with awards and scholarships, involving all family members in promoting service efforts
- Supporting the Constitution of the United States of America
- Supporting the patriotic values of our country, and the military men and women who serve the nation
- Opportunities to improve leadership abilities by taking on responsibilities at chapter, state, and national levels
- Camaraderie with other DAR members during projects and events
Please visit the National Society website for more information on membership eligibility.
